The Clarissa Uprooted movement is a collaboration between the Center for Teen Empowerment and the Clarissa Street Reunion Committee. We have collaborated with several other local organizations, such as the Rochester Community Television (RCTV)’s Youth Media Team to produce our documentary, Rochester Public Library, Visual Studies Workshop and Rochester Museum & Science Center to unearth and build Clarissa Street archives; Flower City Arts Center to honor the elders through photos and, poetry; and RIT and University of Rochester faculty and students as well as YouthBuild to execute our exhibit.
